Copenhagen Design Studio, Krøyer-Sætter-Lassen

We would like to share some photos from Krøyer-Sætter-Lassen's studio because their design language shaped two of the most thoughtful spaces we visited in Copenhagen  — FRAMA Studio Store and The Audo Hotel.

Krøyer-Sætter-Lassen is a Copenhagen-based design studio founded in 2016 by Emil Krøyer and Mads Sætter-Lassen. With backgrounds in architecture, furniture design, and industrial production, the duo is known for creating pieces that merge refined functionality with clear material intent.

Beyond admiring their work, we had the privilege of meeting Emil Krøyer and Mads Sætter-Lassen in person for a tour of their workshop and an open conversation about process, collaboration, and design philosophy. We’re grateful for the time and insight they shared with us, and excited to share their story with you.

Their work spans furniture, lighting, and interiors — often balancing clean geometry with tactile presence. You’ll recognize their approach in iconic designs like the Passage Stool, the Torso Lamp, and the Epoch Collection, all designed for Audo Copenhagen (formerly MENU).

Their philosophy is rooted in designing pieces that age gracefully, serve a purpose, and live comfortably in both public and private spaces. Their work is quietly influential — understated in form, but deeply considered in construction.

Beyond products, Krøyer-Sætter-Lassen is also behind the spatial design of FRAMA Studio Store and the interior concept for The Audo Hotel, where their eye for proportion and atmosphere becomes architectural.
