California law requires us to explain programs that give you a benefit in connection with your personal information. This notice covers BW Rewards and our email sign-up discount. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
BW Rewards
Program and benefit. BW Rewards is a free purchase-based loyalty program. Eligible purchases earn 5 points for each eligible $1 of merchandise after discounts, excluding tax, shipping and gift-card purchases. Each 100 points can be redeemed for $1 off eligible merchandise. A $100 eligible purchase therefore earns 500 points with $5 in future discount value. Points are not cash.
Material terms. Points can be earned on eligible merchandise purchased on brandswalk.com, through the Shop app and our other Shopify checkouts; purchases on Amazon or TikTok Shop do not earn points. Only customers with a BrandsWalk account earn points. New eligible orders have a 45-day pending period after payment. Your points balance expires after one year without a qualifying points-balance change, such as earning or redeeming points; we plan reminder emails 30 and 3 days before. Returns adjust points as described in the BW Rewards Terms. Existing balances and already-issued reward codes keep their terms.
Personal information. To run BW Rewards we use your name and email address, your eligible purchase and return records, and your points earning, balance and redemption activity. Our rewards provider, Smile.io, processes this information for us.
How to join. Joining BW Rewards is optional and free. Select Join Now in the Rewards panel on brandswalk.com, then create or sign in to your BrandsWalk account. By selecting Join Now, you agree to take part in BW Rewards under this notice and the BW Rewards Terms.
How to leave. You may leave Rewards at any time by emailing info@brandswalk.com. We will exclude your account from Rewards. While excluded, you cannot earn points on new orders or redeem points. Your balance and points history are not erased, already-issued codes retain their terms, and previously eligible orders may still earn points. Points-expiry rules continue to apply, and Rewards emails stop while excluded. Marketing unsubscribe and privacy requests remain separate choices.
Value of your personal information. We estimate the value of a Rewards member’s personal information to BrandsWalk at about $4.78 per member per year. We calculated this by dividing the gross profit from purchases by customers with a BrandsWalk account over the past 12 months ($19,049) by the number of those account holders (3,984). Members receive points worth 5% of eligible merchandise spend; a member who bought in the past 12 months spent about $88 on average, which earns about $4.39 in reward value. We consider the reward reasonably related to the value of the information. We update this estimate at least once a year.
Email Sign-up Discount
Program and benefit. When you sign up for BrandsWalk marketing emails, we send you a code for 15% off your first eligible order. Signing up is optional and free.
Personal information. We collect your email address and, when you use the code, link it to your purchase. Our email provider, Omnisend, processes this information for us to send marketing emails.
How to join. Enter your email in our sign-up form and select Subscribe. Submitting the form is your opt-in.
How to leave. Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email, or email info@brandswalk.com. Unsubscribing does not cancel an order or a code you have already received.
Value of your personal information. We estimate the value of your personal information to BrandsWalk at about $4.58 per new sign-up. We calculated this by dividing the gross profit from orders that used the sign-up code over the past 12 months ($10,532 from 470 orders) by the number of new subscribers in that period (2,300). Customers who use the code receive about $18 off on average; spread across all new sign-ups, the discount given averages about $3.74 per sign-up. We consider the discount reasonably related to the value of the information. We update this estimate at least once a year.
