This Korean skincare ampoule features PDRN and Bakuchiol for anti-aging. Customers said it "absorbs quickly leaving behind a non-greasy feeling" and provides deep hydration with a "cooling texture." Many praised the innovative push-button dropper. The serum is "light and silky" with no fishy smell. Some noted slight tackiness with certain moisturizers and higher pricing.

I was really interested in trying this serum after I looked up PDRN (Salmon DNA). Doing a little bit of research on the internet, I found that this is extracted from Salmon sperm so happy to report that no fish were harmed in the extraction process. There appear to be several clinical studies on the uses of PDRN and potential use of PDRN as an anti-aging agent for the skin. Studies seem to point to that use of PDRN potentially improve skin quality, slow down aging, and improve dermal regeneration. I was noting the price of this serum, $46.52 / Fl Oz. While this is more than I usually spend on serums, I saw many other products that have PDRN and this one is priced mid-range of a large group of serums I found. The serum is cloudy/clear and comes in a dropper style dispenser that is unique from others I have used. Rather than a rubber nipple at the top to draw from the bottle and dispense, this one has a button at the top that you press to draw serum, press again to dispense. One press/draw provides an adequate amount of serum - draw more if needed. I found no smell to the serum either sniffing the bottle or applying to my skin.I applied this to clean, dry skin after using toner and the serum had a bit of a tack until completely dry. I used this with one of my daily facial moisturizers ( I alternate between a few favs) and the first one I tried, I noticed that the combination of the 2 left my skin feeling tacky all day. I changed facial moisturizers the next time and had no tackiness. Note that none of the facial moisturizers that I used felt tacky alone or over other serums, so I think if you find this happening, try another facial moisturizer. It must be the combination of some ingredient that caused this. I knocked off a star since it took me a few tries to figure out that my moisturizer combined with the serum was causing the tack and I had not run into this before with other serums. After using this several times/days, I am not seeing differences with other serums that I use. I find this to be hydrating, smoothing but no more so or less than others. That said, it works as stated providing my skin with moisture and smooth texture and appearance.
CUSKIN Co., Ltd. is a cosmeceutical manufacturer in Korea. There isn't much about them on the US side, but from what I gathered in research they have 10 skin care clinics in Korea and have their own laboratory and production factory. Korean skin care is well known and in high demand. I was initially not impressed and suspicious of this due to the broken English on the box such as-"make firm and dense skin with pure PDRN and plant-based Bakuchiol." It also didn't smell great in the bottle, and most of the writing was in Korean so it was hard to understand a lot of the details. I'm glad I did more research because this turned out to be quite a nice product. It is a clear serum that smells in the bottle, but oddly doesn't smell on the skin. It has a silky cooling effect that remains tacky for a couple minutes, then is completely absorbed into the skin leaving no trace of product. Their line expands to sunscreens, makeup, and other facial products that are very popular in Korea. My skin has really been soft and hydrated since I started using this, in a way that I haven't been able to achieve with moisturizers.
Love this product
I’ve had multiple serums, but have never tried PDRN before. I guess it’s from salmon??? Well, my first thought is that it would smell fishy. Good news: no fish smell. The scent is simply a faint fresh smell and not highly perfumed. This serum is really nice. It’s not tacky or sticky and absorbs quickly leaving behind a non-greasy feeling. Honestly, it feels like nothing except hydration. My skin is normal to greasy, but aging and I still need moisture. This serum is absolutely perfect for me. While I can’t say as to how well it will work on dry skin, I apply it to my psoriasis hands from time to time and it’s like heaven. It doesn’t irritate or sting even though my skin is broken and bleeding. Definitely recommend!
I love the texture, feels good and absorbs nicely on skin. I have gotten compliments on my skin after 3 days of using this cream. Definitely my favorite face cream.
This Ampoule is amazing! I’ve had discoloration from the sun, in two weeks they are almost gone! Exosomes are the latest and greatest, and this product has surpassed my expectations.
This serum has interesting ingredients such as salmon DNA. Other ingredients such as bakuchiol (a retinol alternative) I'm more familiar with. I wasn't sure what to expect but I like this serum a lot as it is moisturizing and makes my skin look nice and glowy.
When you first open the box, you may think that the dispenser looks like it has been depressed already (I did). But when I took the bottle out and unscrewed the dispenser, it popped right up.One doesn't need all of the product in the dispenser. A little goes a long way and made my face feel so soft. There isn't a scent that I am aware of.
First I have to mention the quality of the packaging and container here--the ampoule-based dispenser top is beautifully designed and moreso, I was fooled that the container is not ceramic, such a high quality is the plastic used to hold this serum. It really looks expensive. Having said that, I am not an ampoule-applicator lover, but this one did not cause drip because the product is thick enough. The instructions say a squeeze on your forehead and each cheek, which was the minimum amount. I did apply twice as the ampoule holds just enough to cover slightly. Lovely fragrance and it did provide the moisture barrier I was looking for. I have never used plant-based bakuchiol before so am eager to see how that works as a retinol alternative. Very pleased so far.
I like that the lid has a small presser to fill the dropper. A pump would be easier but often a lot of product is lost with the pumps. The product feels light and silky. It goes on smoothly and leaves no tacky residue. It does seem to moisturize and brighten. I used it on my face that was very dry from other products and a tiny amount left my skin feeling very soft and even toned. There is no odor that I noticed. Very little product is needed per use.
Overall, I am a fan of Korean skincare and use several in my daily routine. I've recently been reading about the efficacy of PDRN (cellular renewal) and Bakuchiol (primarily as a natural, gentler substitute for retinol), so to find both of these ingredients in a Korean serum was exciting! I'm happy to say that this product does not disappoint. This serum has the consistency and texture I've come to expect from most serums--something halfway between a watery fluid and a lotion--and there is no fragrance I could detect, save for the pleasantly botanical scent of the ingredients themselves. The push-button dropper is a clever and useful design, as the amount of product it draws up was the perfect amount needed to do my entire face and neck. I found the serum to absorb quickly and completely, leaving no tacky residue, and it worked beautifully both on its own and under makeup. I found it to be wonderfully hydrating, leaving my skin feeling soft and supple and looking radiant and "glowy" once it dried down.A good price for the amount of product you receive, I was surprised at how much I love this serum, and I will definitely be reordering. CU Skin is a fairly well-known brand in Korea, from what I understand, and--while not known as a luxury offering--it enjoys a good reputation. Having used this serum, I would be anxious to try some of their other products, as well. Recommended!
I've only been using the product a short, however I can already see and feel a difference. This is a great product and I was "late to the game" when it comes to skin care. Growing up in the Heartland during the 80' at the height of toxic masculinity, guys didn't use lotions, moisturizer, etc. I was only days away from my 40th before in realized that I needed to find a skin care routine. This product has definitely been added to my personal skin care routine. You know it won't get rid of wrinkles but it does reduce their appearance. It feels like it firms and hydrates my skin for long lasting youth..
I was intrigued to try this Korean serum as Korean skincare is reputed to be on the cutting edge. This serum certainly did not disappoint. The applicator in the cap hold the liquid well and it is easy to dispense as directed. The serum is lightweight and absorbs almost instantly. Your skin is left feeling smooth and looking bright. You can apply moisturizer or makeup without any problem. I have used this serum both day and night and believe I see a slight improvement in the appearance of my skin. I will definitely continue using this serum as part of my everyday routine.
I started using this ampoule a few days ago, it exceeded my expectations. The push-button dropper is ingenious—it delivers just the right amount each time without any mess. I also love that the serum has a light, cooling texture that absorbs quickly and leaves no sticky residue behind. One of the star ingredients is PDRN, sometimes referred to as “salmon DNA,” which is popping up all over Korean skincare these days. Combined with Bakuchiol and other potent components, the formula manages to deeply hydrate my skin in a way standard moisturizers haven’t been able to achieve. My complexion looks healthier, more radiant, and noticeably plumper since I started using it. Any faint scent in the bottle completely disappears once applied, which is a huge plus for anyone sensitive to fragrances.Although it’s on the pricier side for the amount you get, the results—at least for me—have justified the cost. My skin feels soft, bouncy, and well-hydrated, and I haven’t experienced any irritation or breakouts (despite having sensitive skin). If you’re exploring the latest innovations in Korean skincare, I think this ampoule is worth giving a shot, especially if you want a quick-absorbing product that offers a smooth, revitalized look.
This serum works well for me. It spreads nicely. It absorbs well and makes my face feel smooth and tighter. It is not heavy.I like the dropper in the bottle, which gives me just the perfect amount. I apply one dropper amount on my forehead and temples and another on my cheeks and neck.I don't notice any fragrance or strange smell with this. For me, it is basically odorless. This is not as expensive as some serums, but it is still a high price for me.
Don't get disheartened by the weird English in the product description or the box. This is the real deal.At the outset, this brand really IS a Korean product--and they're actually a pretty big deal in Korea, FWIW. They have beauty clinics in Korea and seem to've expanded their line to include additional products. Overall, very pleasant experience using this product. The bottle is super innovative--it is a screw top plus dropper bottle... I had to pause a second to figure out how to get this to open and use the stuff inside! LOLIt has a very slight and pleasant smell to it, but goes away once you apply it to your skin. It makes your skin super hydrated--no adverse effects, and doesn't feel sticky or weird on your face. It dries fairly quickly, but retains moisture on your skin. It is priced a bit high, but it does deliver good results. Would recommend!
One of the coolest aspects of this product is the innovative dispensing mechanism.Primarily it looks and acts like a dropper but there is a button on top of the mechanism that allows for the controlled release of the product, thereby increasing the probability of consistency in product application. The button is firm, yet flexible, thereby increasing the ease of use. The dispenser and button are integrated nicely within the top cap of the bottle. This is a sensible and smartly designed product. As for the serum, it has a cool and refreshing feeling, providing the perspective and feel of youth and vigor.Highly recommended.
I;ve been reading lots about PDRN which is one of the hot new ingredients in skincare. Korean skincare is really up there when it comes to using cutting-edge research in their formulas. This is a lovely ampoule, which is sort of like a highly concentrated serum designed for short-term use and high impacts. I used this after cleansing and toning before other serums and then followed with moisturizer and sun screen. It left my skin brightened and hydrated and looking glowy. Big fan and will keep using items from this brand from now on!
If you're wondering whether this serum has a fishy smell, I can assure you it doesn't. The bottle has an interesting design—you first unscrew the top and then press the button on top to draw the serum into the dropper. Personally, I would prefer a simpler dropper bottle if it would lower the price. That said, the serum absorbs very quickly into my skin, and I experience no irritation when using it. I use it as a hydrating serum before applying sunscreen in the morning and retinol at night. I hope it will improve my skin over time as claimed.
I've been enjoying wearing this and have applied it both under makeup and after doing my nightly skincare routine. I'll say it wears well either way (and doesn't negatively effect the application of makeup). I was intrigued by salmon DNA as an ingredient but I am happy to report the product doesn't smell like salmon (and honestly doesn't smell like much of anything at all). I've only been using it for a short time so I can't speak to the longevity of the results, but it's a win for me so far. In my thirties, I'll take all the collagen I can get!
